Baluji Shrivastav was flown into Bombay this week to accept the prestigious NRI Awards for 2017. These Non-Indian Resident Awards are presented annually for outstanding contributions in the field of the Academics, Arts and Culture, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Philanthropy and Start-Ups!
As NRI states,

This year the awards ceremony was held in the Grand Hyatt hotel in Mumbai on Tuesday 11th July. Winners of the 2017 Awards include: star sitarist Baluji Shivastav OBE for Arts & Culture, The Global Indian Award for Science to Dr M Annadurai (Director ISRO), The Global Indian Awards for Sports, 2017 goes to snooker champion Pankaj Advani, the Academics Award went to Shinjini Kundu and YKS Viswanath won the NRI of the Year Award for Professionals. The NRI Awards are sponsored by Times Now, India’s most watched English news channel.
